Contact DFAS at 1-888-332-7411 to file a claim for final pay, unpaid allowances, and any arrears owed to the estate.
Initiate Survivor Benefit Plan payments
If the member was retired and enrolled in SBP, the surviving spouse should file for the monthly annuity with DFAS.
Download pay records
Download LES (Leave and Earnings Statements), tax documents (W-2), and retirement pay records from myPay before the account is closed.
