Pause all scheduled payments
Log in and immediately review Payments → Scheduled. Pause any upcoming payments until a trusted person can review each one and decide whether to proceed.

Freeze Divvy cards if applicable
If Divvy corporate cards are active, freeze all employee cards to prevent unauthorized spending. Go to Cards → freeze each one.

Review pending approvals
Check the Approvals inbox for pending bills, invoices, and payment requests. These need someone to approve or reject them — appoint a new approver.

Add an admin user
Grant a trusted person admin access so they can manage payments, approvals, and vendor relationships. Go to Settings → Users.

Export all AP/AR data
Download all bill history, payment records, vendor lists, and any outstanding invoices. This data is critical for understanding the business's financial obligations.
