Before canceling, file claims for any recent vet visits or treatments. You cannot file claims after the policy is cancelled.
Cancel the premium
Call Trupanion at 1-855-591-3100 to cancel the policy and stop premium payments.
Consider transferring policy to new pet guardian
If the pet is going to a new guardian, Trupanion may allow transferring the policy to maintain continuous coverage without new waiting periods.
Confirm cancellation in writing
Get written confirmation that the policy is cancelled and no further premiums will be charged.
