Log in to TurboTax Online

Go to turbotax.intuit.com and sign in with the decedent\'s Intuit account credentials.

Download all prior-year returns

Navigate to Tax Home → select each prior year → download the PDF of the full return including all schedules and worksheets.

Check for unfiled returns

Look for any in-progress or started-but-not-filed returns. These may indicate tax obligations that still need to be addressed.

File the final return if needed

A final Form 1040 must be filed for the year of death. Consider working with a CPA for this filing, as it has special rules.

Cancel any TurboTax subscriptions

Check for TurboTax Live or other active subscriptions and cancel them to avoid future charges.
