Cancel auto-replenish
Immediately cancel the automatic balance replenishment to stop future charges to the linked bank account or credit card.
Claim prepaid balance
Request a refund of the remaining prepaid E-ZPass balance. Contact the issuing agency with proof of death and estate documentation.
Return or transfer transponder
Return the E-ZPass transponder to the issuing toll authority, or transfer it to a surviving family member's account.
Settle outstanding tolls
Check for and settle any unpaid tolls or violations associated with the account before closing.
Close the account
Contact the E-ZPass customer service center to formally close the account after the balance refund is processed.
