Step-by-Step Guide

Export user database

User Management → Users → Export Users. Download all user data including profiles and metadata. This is critical for any future migration.

Document all applications and APIs

List all registered applications, their Client IDs, and API configurations. Every app using Auth0 depends on these settings.

Add tenant administrators

Settings → Tenant Members → Add Member. Add a trusted person as Admin to maintain authentication services.

Export Rules, Actions, and Connections

Export all custom Rules, Actions, and Social Connection configurations. These contain business logic and cannot be easily recreated.

Contact Auth0 support

Contact Auth0/Okta support for estate account transfer. Auth0 accounts are part of Okta.
